Emma

Oh, how I love this movie. It is a Jane Austen and I am my mother's daughter so I guess it's natural for me to like it. If you've never seen Emma, this whole thing is probably a little confusing, so skip to about 1:53 to get the gist of it.

Best proposal ever. And the music? Glorious. Mr. Knightley is the perfect man. My roommates and I had an in-depth discussion about this. He's the best because he was nice all along. We didn't have to wait for him to come around like Mr. Darcy (I just realized how nerdy that sounded. Hey, some girls fantasize about Edward Cullen, I fantasize about Mr. Knightley)

I highly recommend this movie (make sure you get the Gwyneth Paltrow version). It's a gem.

"Marry me? Marry me my wonderful, darling friend."

  1. Have you read many classic books? I hadn't and then I started collecting the new fabric covered penguin ones (cuz they make me smile all the time) and figured I should at least read them. I am reading Jane Eyer now. It is taking me a long time...

  2. Ugh! I love "Emma" and I think you saw me gush over Mr. Knightley on Facebook, so you know where I stand :)

  3. Oh man.... Where is he? I keep looking for him in Provo and I am beginning to fear he is only fictional...
