The Other Day

The other day my mom and I were coming out of the grocery store when a couple called out to us and asked if we knew how to get to Michael's (like, the craft store). We tried to look up the address on our phones but the people didn't have a GPS and so my mom was trying to explain the twists and turns and ridiculous intersections of Robinson Township and everyone was getting really frustrated and then the conversation went like this:
My mom: "Are you sure you want to go to Michael's? You should really just go to Hobby Lobby. It's better anyway."
Them: "................."
My mom: ".............."

And then they got in their car and drove away.

Because to some people, once you make a choice between Michael's and Hobby Lobby, you're in for life. It's like the Red Sox and the Yankees. Backstreet Boys and NSync. It's one or the other and once the line is crossed-there's no going back.
